I don’t photograph a ton of maternity, but every so often I am blessed with the most beautiful mother’s-to-be. I also have another confession to make, this session was photographed over a year ago and her sweet baby princess has already been born and has had her first birthday. But isn’t that what makes photos so mysterious yet comforting all at the same time, the ability to peer back into time at a moment and remember exactly the way you felt and what you were thinking or even get a glimpse of the past of what it was like before you were ever a thought in your parents minds? Photos are enduring and we get to decide which moment stays forever and which one passes.

Kristina’s spring time maternity session was an honor to photograph as we’ve spent our young adult lives together growing in our friendship and it’s a surreal yet exciting feeling to see her transition into a more meaningful role in her life. Her baby is the cutest thing ever, she loves outdoor activities like her parents do and has the spunkiest personality ever. Better late than never so congratulations beauty on motherhood!
